Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) across on-prem and cloud-connected environments.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, perform root cause analysis, and document remediation steps.
- Manage IP addressing, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, DHCP, DNS, and remote access solutions.
- Conduct routine maintenance, firmware updates, and security patches; maintain change logs and diagrams.
- Collaborate with IT teams on network design, capacity planning, and project deployments.
- Provide Tier-2 support to internal users and assist with onboarding of new devices and sites.
- Implement network security best practices, monitor alerts, and enforce access controls.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with LAN/WAN networks; CCNA or CompTIA Network+ preferred.
- Experience with Cisco or Juniper devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and standard networking protocols.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and firewall concepts.
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell or Python) for automation and data collection.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and obtain relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP) if not already held.
