AtlasNet Solutions is seeking a proactive Network Technician to join our Austin-based IT team. In this role, you will deploy, monitor, and support network infrastructure across offices and remote sites. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail oriented, and collaborative, with a strong foundation in TCP/IP, switching, routing, and network security.
As a Network Technician, you will configure and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points; assist with VPN connectivity; monitor performance with industry-standard tools; and document network diagrams and procedures to ensure reliable uptime.

Responsibility
- Deploy, configure, and maintain network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot latency, connectivity issues, and incident responses using monitoring tools.
- Assist with VPN setup and remote-site connectivity to ensure secure, reliable access for users.
- Document network diagrams, IP schemas, ACLs, and standard operating procedures for teams.
- Participate in capacity planning, upgrades, and routine maintenance windows with minimal user disruption.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement baseline protections and monitoring.
- Provide Tier 2-3 technical support to end users and IT staff as needed.
Qualification
- 2+ years hands-on networking experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, and subnetting.
- Experience with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE and/or Juniper devices; CCNA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Familiarity with VPN technologies, firewall basics (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), and basic security concepts.
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostics tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and customer-facing communication.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
