Join QuantaTech Solutions as a Network Technician in Austin, TX. You will install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure across diverse environments, including wired LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN solutions. Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues across LAN, WAN, and VPN links
- Assist with capacity planning, firmware updates, and security hardening of network infrastructure
- Document network topology, configurations, and incident reports in the IT management system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support service delivery and project deployments
- Provide on-site and remote support to users and remote offices
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity exercises as needed
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in network administration or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols
- Experience with Cisco or Juniper devices and common network management tools
- Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds)
- Familiarity with security practices, firewalls, VPNs, and remote access solutions
- CCNA or equivalent certification; bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
