NovaNet Solutions is seeking a motivated Network Technician to install, monitor, and optimize our enterprise network infrastructure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor network health using monitoring tools, troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement lasting fixes.
- Design and support wired and wireless networks, including WLANs, access points, and site surveys as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including network diagrams, IP address management, asset inventory, and change logs.
- Support remote offices and WAN connections, VPN tunnels, and backup connectivity options.
- Collaborate with security and IT teams to apply patches, enforce policies, and improve overall security posture.
- Participate in on-call rotations and disaster recovery testing to ensure business continuity.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on network engineering or network technician experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP).
- Experience with network devices from Cisco or equivalent vendors; familiarity with configuring switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, PRTG, SolarWinds) and incident response processes.
- CCNA or equivalent certification preferred; bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical users.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and occasional after-hours maintenance.
