Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) across multiple sites.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Manage VPN tunnels, wireless access points, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP).
- Implement change control, configuration management, and maintain up-to-date network documentation.
- Support disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and participate in on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with IT and project teams on deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
- Enforce network security best practices, review firewall rules, and assist with patch management.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in network administration or a related role.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- CCNA or equivalent certification required; CCNP or higher a plus.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, routing, and switching.
- Experience with Cisco IOS and Junos; familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX and participate in on-call rotation.
