As a Network Technician, you will collaborate with engineers and support staff to ensure high availability and secure connectivity across data centers, branch offices, and remote sites.
Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls from vendors such as Cisco and Ubiquiti.
- Monitor network health using industry-standard tools and promptly respond to outages, alerts, and performance issues.
- Perform routine network maintenance, firmware upgrades, and change management with minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues across LAN, WAN, VPN, and remote-site VPNs; document root causes and resolutions.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement access control, threat prevention, and secure configurations.
- Assist in network design and capacity planning, including redundancy and disaster recovery considerations.
- Provide on-site and remote end-user support for network-related incidents and requests.
Qualification
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with network administration, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience with Cisco and/or Juniper equipment; familiarity with firewalls and VPN technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and continuous learning of new technologies.
