Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers from major vendors
- Monitor network performance, perform root cause analysis, and resolve outages quickly
- Design and deploy wired and wireless LANs including site surveys and capacity planning
- Manage IP addressing, VLANs, routing, QoS, VPNs, and remote access solutions
- Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams, CMDB entries, and change tickets
- Collaborate with security teams on threat monitoring, firewall rule reviews, and incident response
- Provide on-site and remote support to end users and clients as part of a 24x7 on-call rotation
Qualification
- Associate degree in IT or related field or equivalent hands on experience
- Certifications such as CCNA and CompTIA Network+ required; CCNP or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years of hands on experience with Cisco or Juniper network gear in enterprise or MSP environments
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, IP subnetting, NAT and VPN technologies
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar and ticketing systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with ability to translate technical concepts to non technical stakeholders
- Willingness to participate in on call rotation and occasional weekend deployments
