Responsibility
- Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks to ensure uptime and performance.
- Configure, install, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and access points from vendors such as Cisco and Juniper.
- Perform network fault isolation, diagnostics, and escalation with vendors as needed.
- Manage network documentation including diagrams, runbooks, and change logs.
- Assist with network security measures, vulnerability remediation, and access control.
- Support on-call rotation and customer-facing technical assistance.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams on projects and deployments.
Qualification
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience with network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless).
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent; Cisco/Juniper familiarity.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs, and network security fundamentals.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (for example, Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG) and CLI-based device management.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
