Join Crestline IT Solutions as a Network Technician in Austin, TX. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable network infrastructure across client sites and our internal systems. Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) in LAN/WAN environments.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Monitor network performance and security using SNMP, NetFlow, and SIEM tools; respond to alerts.
- Assist with design and implementation of network upgrades (Cisco, Juniper, and SD-WAN solutions).
- Document network topology, configurations, and change requests; maintain accurate CMDB.
- Collaborate with IT support and security teams to ensure compliance and incident response readiness.
- Provide on-call rotation coverage and vendor coordination as needed.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise networks (LAN/WAN).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
- Experience with Cisco IOS/NX-OS or similar network operating systems; CCNA or higher certification preferred.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark) and ticketing systems.
- Basic firewall and security concepts; familiarity with Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet, or Palo Alto is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability for on-call rotation and willingness to travel to client sites as needed (up to 25%).
