SummitNet Technologies is seeking a motivated Network Technician to maintain and optimize our enterprise network in Seattle, WA. This hands-on role focuses on reliability, security, and performance for LAN/WAN infrastructure and remote sites.
As a Network Technician, you will work closely with the IT team to install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices, cables, and services. We value proactive problem solving, thorough documentation, and strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices including switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories.
- Assist with patching, cabling, and physical layer infrastructure across multiple sites.
- Support VPNs, remote access, and site-to-site connectivity.
- Collaborate with security team to implement best practices for VLANs, ACLs, and QoS.
- Provide timely end-user and on-site support for network-related issues.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Technician or similar role
- CCNA or equivalent networking certification; strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing/switching concepts
- Experience with Cisco, Aruba, or Fortinet equipment; basic firewall configuration and security best practices
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG) and ticketing systems
- Strong problem solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to lift and move network gear and work at data centers or server rooms as needed
- Availability for on-call shifts and occasional after-hours maintenance
