BrightLink Technologies, a leading IT solutions provider, is hiring a Network Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure team in Austin. You will install, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise networks for our diverse clients, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
Ideal candidates are hands-on problem solvers with strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, routing and switching, and security best practices. This role offers growth, modern tooling, and a collaborative environment.
Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices including switches, routers, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and implement quick resolution plans
- Plan and execute minor network upgrades and capacity expansion
- Document network topologies, configurations, and change management records
- Collaborate with security team to enforce ACLs, VPNs, and firewall policies
- Provide second- and third-line support to onsite and remote clients
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and network redundancy initiatives
Qualification
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering or network technician roles
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing protocols, and VLANs
- Experience with Cisco IOS or equivalent switching/routing platforms
- Familiarity with wireless networks and Wi-Fi 802.11 standards
- Proficient with network monitoring tools (SNMP, NetFlow, Wireshark)
- Excellent diagnostic, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in data center environments
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA or equivalent preferred
