Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) across LAN/WAN environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve connectivity issues, latency, and packet loss.
- Perform network performance tuning, capacity planning, and documentation.
- Support VPN and remote access solutions (IPsec, SSL VPN).
- Assist with security of network infrastructure, including ACLs and centralized monitoring.
- Collaborate with IT teams on deployments, changes, and incident response.
- Assist with network documentation, asset management, and change control processes.
- Provide tier-1 support for network-related incidents and escalate when needed.
Qualification
- 1-3 years of hands-on network technician or IT support experience.
- Familiarity with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP), VLANs, and ACLs; vendor knowledge (Cisco, Juniper) is a plus.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG) and packet analysis (Wireshark).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic security concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification preferred; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience may be required.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
