At NorthBridge IT, we build reliable, secure networks for ambitious clients. We are seeking a results-driven Network Technician to join our growing IT team in Austin. You will deploy, monitor, and optimize our customers' network infrastructure, delivering exceptional uptime and performance.
As a Network Technician, you will work with cutting-edge gear and a collaborative team to troubleshoot complex issues, document configurations, and contribute to network design and automation initiatives.
Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) across multiple sites.
- Monitor network performance and health using industry-standard tools; respond to alerts and escalations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues with speed and clarity.
- Document network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with network security implementations and policy enforcement.
- Provide on-site and remote end-user support; coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Participate in capacity planning, change management, and routine maintenance windows.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in network administration or a similar role.
- CCNA or equivalent network certification; advanced certifications are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, VLANs, NAT, and routing protocols.
- Experience with Cisco IOS/ASA, Juniper Junos, or similar platform families.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark) and SNMP.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift and transport network gear and work in both office and field environments.
