Join NovaCore Technologies as a Network Technician in Austin, TX. You will install, maintain, and optimize our organization's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless access points, and security devices. This role combines hands-on hardware work with monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and secure connectivity for our teams and clients.

Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, wireless controllers) and related security devices.
- Monitor network performance and health using monitoring tools; respond to alerts with triage and resolution.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues across LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi environments in a timely manner.
- Assist with site surveys, cable management, and physical layer documentation.
- Collaborate with security and IT teams to implement access controls, VPNs, and firewall rules.
- Document network changes, configurations, and incident reports in the ticketing system.
- Provide tier-1 and tier-2 support for end-users and remote offices, ensuring SLA adherence.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing, and switching; familiarity with Cisco or Juniper devices.
- Experience with wireless networking (802.11ac/ax), access points, and controller-based deployments.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG).
- Basic firewall and VPN concepts; ability to assist with secure remote access configurations.
- OS knowledge: Windows Server and/or Linux; scripting exposure is a plus (PowerShell, Python).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills; willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
