Join NexaCore Technologies as a Network Technician in Austin, TX. You will be part of our Networking Operations team, providing frontline support for enterprise-grade network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and VPNs. Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN gateways
- Monitor network performance, identify incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions
- Assist with network upgrades, capacity planning, backups, and documentation
- Provide frontline troubleshooting and support for connectivity issues for end users and remote sites
- Collaborate with security and change management teams to enforce access controls and baseline configurations
- Support wireless networks, site surveys, and AP deployments
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response during off-hours
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, runbooks, and asset inventories
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on network support in enterprise environments
- Experience with Cisco, Aruba, or similar networking equipment; understanding of routing protocols (OSPF/BGP)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies, and firewall fundamentals
- Proficiency with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, PRTG)
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and communication skills
- CCNA or equivalent certification; higher-level certifications (CCNP, JNCIS, etc.) are a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a dynamic environment
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or related field preferred
