We are a forward-thinking IT solutions provider seeking a dedicated Network Technician to join our Austin-based team. This role focuses on maintaining stable, secure, and scalable network infrastructure for clients and internal systems.
As a Network Technician, you will perform hands-on tasks, monitor performance, and troubleshoot incidents to ensure peak network availability. You’ll collaborate with security, server, and field teams to design, implement, and document reliable network solutions.

Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
- Troubleshoot complex network incidents and provide escalation support.
- Assist with cabling, rack-and-stack, and physical layer documentation.
- Collaborate with IT security to enforce policies, VPNs, and firewall rules.
- Document network diagrams, asset inventories, and standard operating procedures.
- Support remote sites and field technicians as needed.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with LAN/WAN networking in enterprise or MSP environments.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN).
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco/Juniper devices; CCNA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Familiarity with VLANs, QoS, PoE, wireless controllers, and WLAN technologies.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on-call rotation.
- Windows Server or Linux administration experience is a plus; certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+ preferred.
