Join our growing IT team in Seattle as a Network Technician. This role focuses on maintaining reliable connectivity, configuring network devices, and supporting end users with integrated solutions. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to design, deploy, and monitor enterprise networks.
As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for day to day operations, incident response, and proactive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize performance. The ideal candidate combines hands on experience with a customer focused mindset and a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and respond to incidents to ensure high availability.
- Support VPN, DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing schemes across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to plan network upgrades and capacity planning.
- Document network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide tier 2/3 support for end users and partner vendors.
- Participate in security best practices and patch management for network gear.
Qualification
- 2-4 years of hands on experience administering LAN/WAN networks in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, VLANs, and switching.
- Experience with Cisco or Juniper equipment and network monitoring tools (eg SolarWinds, PRTG).
- Proficiency with WiFi design and troubleshooting (802.11ax/ac).
- Familiarity with VPN technologies, firewall rules, and IDS/IPS concepts.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills with customer focused mindset.
