BeaconBridge Notary Services is seeking a meticulous and client-focused Notary Public / Signing Agent to join our premium team in Boston. This role combines traditional notarial acts with modern mortgage and document signings. You will travel to clients, ensure legal compliance, and deliver a flawless customer experience. As a member of our elite team, you will provide mobile notary services, coordinate with lenders and title companies, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Responsibility
- Perform notarial acts in accordance with MA notary law, including acknowledgments, jurats, oaths, and copy certifications.
- Verify identity, document authenticity, and signer's willingness; maintain complete, accurate notary journal entries.
- Administer oaths and affirmations when required and handle affiants with confidentiality.
- Travel to client locations for mobile signings and document pickups/drop-offs; schedule and confirm appointments.
- Prepare, label, and package signing packages; review documents for completeness and accuracy before execution.
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, and lawyers to ensure timely closings and compliance with applicable rules.
- Maintain Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance, professional liability, and up-to-date notary credentials; stay informed on state laws.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explain document requirements to signers, and manage any post-signing follow-up.
Qualification
- Active MA Notary Public in good standing with current commission; ability to perform eNotarizations where permitted by law.
- Minimum 2+ years of notary or signing agent experience; mortgage and real estate closings a plus.
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license; ability to travel within the greater Boston area.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.
- Strong organizational abilities, time management, and dedication to privacy and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with digital signing platforms, remote online notarization (if permitted), and notary journals.
- Background check and professional references; willingness to undergo ongoing training.
- High school diploma or equivalent; commitment to ethical conduct and professional standards.
