Private Advertiser is seeking a Part-time Clinic Assistant to join a friendly medical practice in the North Region. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who value flexible daytime and early-evening hours while delivering compassionate patient care and accurate administrative support. You will play a key role at the front desk and support clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and a high standard of care.
In this position, you will help with front-desk duties, appointment scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and basic clinical tasks. You will work closely with clinicians and nursing staff to prepare examination rooms, manage patient records, and ensure a clean, organized, and compliant environment. We welcome applicants who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive team, with training provided on privacy, infection control, and clinic software.
Typical shifts are weekday afternoons from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm or weekday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, with potential for additional hours based on clinic needs. Responsibility
- Greet patients, verify information, and manage check-in/check-out at the reception desk
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments; manage reminders
- Maintain accurate patient records in the clinic's electronic system
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct callers to the appropriate staff
- Prepare examination rooms, assist clinicians with basic procedures, and ensure room cleanliness
- Handle front-desk administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry
- Support clinic operations during busy periods while upholding privacy and infection control standards
- Assist with light billing, payments, and insurance form processing as required
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant healthcare education is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service orientation with empathy for patients
- Basic computer literacy (EMR systems, MS Office)
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Willingness to learn and follow clinic policies on privacy and infection control
- Availability for weekday afternoon or evening shifts
