Join Lisbon Discoveries Tours as a Part-Time Tour Guide in Lisbon, Portugal. You will lead immersive walking tours, share captivating stories of history and culture, and help visitors connect with the city’s hidden gems along the Tagus River and across Alfama, Baixa, and Belém. Fluency in English is required; additional languages such as Portuguese, Spanish, or French are highly valued. Responsibility
- Lead engaging 2 to 4 hour walking tours across Lisbon neighborhoods and key sites
- Deliver accurate, entertaining historical and cultural narratives tailored to diverse audiences
- Ensure guest safety, comfort, and satisfaction; manage group flow and timing
- Coordinate logistics with operations and sales teams; handle check-ins and ticketing when needed
- Adapt itineraries to weather, accessibility needs, and guest interests
- Answer questions, share local recommendations, and upsell optional experiences professionally
- Represent the brand with punctuality, professionalism, and premium guest service
Qualification
- Fluent spoken English; additional languages such as Portuguese, Spanish, or French are a plus
- Legal authorization to work in Portugal
- Strong public speaking, storytelling, and interpersonal skills
- Previous tour guiding, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
- Solid knowledge of Lisbon history, landmarks, culture, and current events
- Physical ability to stand and walk for several hours; comfortable with stairs and uneven surfaces
- Customer-oriented mindset with problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
