Responsibility

  • Assist in the collection of payments for discharged inpatients and ensure accurate posting to patient accounts.
  • Provide financial counseling to patients and families regarding hospital charges, billing options, and payment plans.
  • Verify patient information, process co-pays, and coordinate with insurance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant patient financial records and protect patient privacy in line with applicable laws.
  • Respond to inquiries with a patient-centered approach and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with the hospital's billing team.
  • Support revenue cycle activities, including daily reconciliation of payments and cash handling.
  • Assist with enrollment of payment arrangements, documentation, and pre-authorizations as required by hospital policy.

Qualification

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in healthcare billing, patient services, admissions, or a related revenue cycle role.
