Job description

Nordic Group is seeking a meticulous and proactive Payroll Assistant/Executive to join our finance team in Tuas, West Region, Singapore. This role is ideal for a detail oriented professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and is committed to accuracy and compliance across all payroll activities.

As a Payroll Assistant/Executive you will own end to end payroll processing for our employees, ensuring accurate payments and timely statutory submissions. You will coordinate with HR and finance to gather attendance data, process deductions and benefits, and maintain up to date payroll records. The role requires strict adherence to local payroll regulations and internal controls, while providing excellent service to employees with payroll related inquiries.

You will manage statutory submissions and filings with relevant government agencies, monitor payroll tax obligations, and support year end processes and payslip generation. The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, and a proactive mindset to identify process improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibility

  • Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees, including deductions and variable elements
  • Administer statutory submissions and government filings with IRAS and other agencies
  • Maintain confidential payroll records and respond to payroll inquiries from employees and managers
  • Reconcile payroll liabilities and perform year end tasks such as payslip generation and tax form preparation
  • Collaborate with HR on onboarding, offboarding, attendance, and leave management
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore payroll regulations and internal controls
  • Support payroll process improvements and assist with payroll system enhancements

Qualification

  • Diploma or degree in finance accounting or related field
  • 2 or more years of payroll experience in Singapore or similar market
  • Familiarity with CPF IRAS MOM and other statutory requirements
  • Experience with payroll software or HRIS and ability to handle data accurately
  • Strong numerical skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem solving abilities with a service oriented mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
