We seek a proactive thinker who can combine traditional analytic methods with contemporary interdisciplinary perspectives to address enduring questions in ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, and political philosophy. You will collaborate with senior scholars, mentor research assistants, and contribute to grant proposals and outreach activities that amplify philosophical inquiry beyond academia.

Responsibility

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in core areas such as ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, and political philosophy.
  • Develop and oversee research proposals, ensure rigorous methodology, and participate in peer review processes.
  • Produce high-quality scholarly articles, book chapters, and working papers for publication and public dissemination.
  • Present findings at internal seminars, conferences, and invited talks; engage with students and visiting scholars when applicable.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to connect philosophy with cognitive science, AI ethics, law, or public policy.
  • Contribute to grant writing, budgeting, and project management to advance ongoing research initiatives.
  • Mentor and supervise research assistants, provide constructive feedback, and foster a productive scholarly environment.

Qualification

  • PhD in Philosophy or an equivalent record of substantial philosophical research.
  • Demonstrated scholarly publication in reputable journals and/or major presses.
  • Strong command of analytic and/or continental methodologies; expertise in at least two subfields is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with rigorous literature reviews, argumentation, and sound research design.
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaborative teams; project management and organizational skills.
  • Teaching, mentoring, or curriculum development experience is a plus.
