We are seeking a highly motivated Physics Research Scientist to join our collaborative, grant-funded laboratory at the forefront of experimental physics. Responsibility
- Design and implement experiments to probe physical systems in areas such as quantum materials, optics, or condensed matter.
- Develop and optimize data acquisition and analysis pipelines using Python, MATLAB, or equivalent tools.
- Operate and maintain scientific instrumentation (lasers, cryogenic systems, vacuum equipment) with safety compliance.
- Collaborate with theorists and engineers to interpret results and guide experimental direction.
- Plan and execute measurement campaigns, including statistical analysis and uncertainty quantification.
- Prepare results for publication, presenting findings at internal and external seminars.
- Mentor students and junior researchers; contribute to grant writing and project planning.
- Document protocols and ensure reproducibility of experiments and simulations.
Qualification
- PhD in Physics, or equivalent research experience in experimental physics.
- Strong experimental skills with hands-on experience in optical or cryogenic instrumentation.
- Proficiency in data analysis with Python (numpy, scipy), MATLAB, or similar tools.
- Experience with data acquisition systems, MATLAB/LabVIEW, and statistical methods.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Proven track record of research output (publications, conference presentations).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; strong attention to detail.
