Quantum Horizon Labs is seeking a Physics Research Scientist to advance frontier research in quantum materials, precision measurement, and fundamental physics experiments. This role blends experimental work with theoretical modeling in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design and execution of experiments, develop data-analysis pipelines, and help translate physics insights into technological advances.
Responsibility
- Plan, design, and execute physics experiments in collaboration with engineers and other scientists.
- Develop data acquisition, analysis, and simulation pipelines using Python, MATLAB, and C++.
- Interpret results, validate models, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and contribute to conference presentations.
- Lead project milestones, manage resources, and oversee junior researchers or interns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate physics insights into technology roadmaps.
- Ensure rigorous documentation and compliance with lab safety and ethics standards.
Qualification
- PhD in Physics, or MSc with 5+ years of relevant research experience in experimental or theoretical physics.
- Strong mathematical background and proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and modeling.
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy, SciPy), MATLAB, and C++ for data processing and simulation.
- Experience with experimental apparatus, instrumentation, and lab automation (LabVIEW or similar).
- Track record of publications and presentations; ability to clearly communicate complex ideas.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment; strong time management.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (or specify visa status if needed).
