Responsibility
- Maintain public safety and enforce laws within the City of Toronto.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and incidents.
- Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, and prepare accurate reports.
- Engage with and build trusting relationships in the local community.
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to prevent and detect criminal activity.
- Testify in court and collaborate with legal entities.
- Participate in continuous training and professional development.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the force and community.
Qualification
- Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
- Valid Ontario G driver's license with a clean record.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to meet TPS standards.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted.
- Demonstrated commitment to integrity, respect, and service.
