We are seeking a collaborative and analytical professional with a demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear policy recommendations. You will work with cross-functional teams, elected officials, and community partners to address urban challenges including housing, transportation, and public safety.
What you will do: you will deliver policy briefs, option papers, and impact assessments; support budget considerations; and track program performance to ensure outcomes align with council priorities.

Responsibility
- Conduct policy research and quantitative/qualitative analysis to inform municipal decisions.
- Develop policy options, recommendations, and impact assessments for council and executives.
- Collaborate with departments, elected officials, and community groups; facilitate stakeholder engagement and public consultations.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance; define KPIs and reporting frameworks.
- Prepare briefings, memos, and presentations for senior leadership and council deliberations.
- Support budgeting and resource planning related to policy initiatives and program delivery.
- Ensure compliance with laws, governance standards, and ethical guidelines in all analyses.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, political science, public policy or related field; master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in public policy, government, or public affairs; municipal experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to translate data into actionable policy insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement, interdepartmental collaboration, and project management.
- Knowledge of municipal governance, budgeting processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced public sector environment with integrity and professionalism.
