Responsibility
- Conduct policy research and analysis on local government programs, budgets, and service delivery.
- Develop evidence-based recommendations to inform policy design and program improvements.
- Design performance metrics, monitor KPIs, and evaluate program outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with city agencies, community organizations, and external partners to gather input and validate findings.
- Prepare briefing documents, policy memos, and presentations for senior leadership and elected officials.
- Support grant applications, compliance reporting, and data governance initiatives.
- Lead stakeholder engagement efforts and contribute to transparent public communications.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of policy analysis or program evaluation experience in the public sector.
- Strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills with experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel).
- Knowledge of budgeting, grants management, and public sector procurement processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication; ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with the DC policy landscape and open data standards; experience with GIS is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively across teams.
