Responsibility
- Analyze policy proposals, legislation, and regulatory changes; synthesize findings into concise briefs for leadership.
- Design, implement, and evaluate public programs; develop performance metrics and data-driven recommendations.
- Collaborate with city agencies, state partners, and community stakeholders to align initiatives with strategic goals.
- Support budgeting processes by analyzing cost drivers, forecasting needs, and preparing justification memos.
- Create clear, accessible policy reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive and public audiences.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; support internal controls and governance processes.
- Communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences, including staff, elected officials, and residents; lead stakeholder engagements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 3+ years of public sector policy analysis, program evaluation, or budgeting experience.
- Strong research, analytical, and data interpretation skills; proficiency with Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools.
- Experience with policy communication, memo writing, and presenting to leadership.
- Knowledge of urban policy, governance, and regulatory frameworks; familiarity with public budgeting processes.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement abilities; proven cross-functional teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate integrity, and maintain confidentiality.
