Responsibility
- Conduct policy research, synthesize data, and prepare analytic reports to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with city departments to design and evaluate public programs and services.
- Develop performance metrics, monitor outcomes, and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Engage with community stakeholders, present findings, and translate complex data into clear policies.
- Support budget development with analytical insights and cost-benefit analyses.
- Identify regulatory requirements and ensure program compliance and governance standards.
- Prepare concise briefs and policy memos for senior leadership and elected officials.
- Manage cross-functional projects with timelines, milestones, and documentation.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Political Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in public sector policy analysis or program evaluation.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL or Python is a plus.
- Knowledge of government budgeting, procurement, and regulatory processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and community outreach.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with policy evaluation frameworks (logic models, ROI, KPIs) is a plus.
