Join the Capitol City Department of Public Administration as a Policy Analyst. You will translate complex policy data into actionable recommendations, support program design, and help improve public services for residents and businesses. Responsibility
- Conduct policy research and quantitative/qualitative analysis to inform regulatory proposals and program design.
- Develop evaluation plans, performance metrics, and outcome tracking for public programs.
- Prepare briefing materials, memos, and policy recommendations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with interagency teams, legislative staff, and community partners to gather input and validate findings.
- Monitor budget alignment, grant compliance, and resource allocation to ensure program viability.
- Translate data into accessible reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Support implementation of policy changes by coordinating with program managers and field staff.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field; master's preferred.
- 3+ years of public sector policy analysis or program evaluation experience.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills with proficiency in data visualization and Excel; familiarity with SQL or R is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with research methods, stakeholder engagement, and policy documentation.
- Knowledge of local, state, or federal governance processes and procurement/grants administration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
