Join Northwest Press & Packaging, a premier printing and packaging provider, as a Printer Operator in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will manage and operate printing presses, ensure quality color reproduction, and collaborate with prepress and bindery teams to deliver high-impact printed materials on time.

Responsibility
- Set up, calibrate, and operate printing presses (offset and digital) to meet job specifications.
- Prepare substrates, inks, plates, and blankets; monitor material usage and waste.
- Perform color management, proofing, and on-press adjustments to ensure color accuracy.
- Conduct routine quality checks for registration, bleed, and alignment; document variances.
- Coordinate with prepress, graphics, and bindery teams to meet production schedules.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
- Adhere to safety standards and environmental requirements; maintain clean, organized work area.
- Assist with packaging and finishing operations as needed to complete jobs.
Qualification
- 2+ years of proven experience operating printing presses (offset and/or digital) in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of color management, ICC profiles, and proofing processes.
- Familiarity with substrates, inks, coatings, and finishing processes; ability to troubleshoot on-press issues.
- Ability to read and interpret job jackets, color keys, and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail, quality-minded, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate across departments.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies; basic mechanical aptitude for routine maintenance.
- Safety-conscious with adherence to PPE and workplace safety protocols.
