Job description
NovaPrint Solutions, a leader in commercial printing, is seeking a Printing Supervisor to join our NYC production team. You will oversee high-volume sheet-fed and digital printing operations, ensure on-time delivery, maintain color accuracy, and mentor a talented team of press operators and finishers.
In this role, you will collaborate with account managers and prepress to deliver premium printed materials for brands in marketing, packaging, and signage. You will drive quality, efficiency, and reliability across all production stages while upholding the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibility
- Oversee daily printing operations across digital and offset presses ensuring quality and on-time production
- Lead and train a team of press operators, finishers, and prepress staff; schedule workloads
- Monitor color management and ICC profiles to ensure brand color accuracy
- Review print proofs and approve color and layout; coordinate with clients and sales
- Maintain equipment uptime, troubleshoot press issues, and coordinate maintenance with vendors
- Optimize production workflows to reduce waste and improve throughput
- Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized production floor
- Collaborate with estimators and project managers to plan jobs and estimate timescales
Qualification
- 5+ years in commercial printing with leadership experience in offset or digital presses
- Strong knowledge of color management and RIP software
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving
- Experience with print proofs and prepress coordination
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets and color targets
- Proven leadership and staff development skills
- Safety minded with knowledge of production safety standards
- Flexible availability including possible overtime or weekend shifts
