Join a vibrant theatre company in New York City as a Production Coordinator. This full-time role offers the chance to shape productions from rehearsal to opening night and beyond. You will partner with producers, stage managers, designers, and vendors to ensure every element comes together on time and on budget.
Responsibility
- Coordinate production calendars, rehearsals, tech weeks, and performance schedules across departments
- Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and vendor management to keep productions on target
- Liaise with designers, stage managers, and department heads to ensure timely delivery of scenic, props, and wardrobe elements
- Support recruitment and onboarding of freelance crew, interns, and volunteers
- Coordinate venue logistics, load-in/load-out planning, and equipment rentals
- Maintain production documentation including call sheets, contact lists, run-of-show, and safety protocols
- Contribute to opening night readiness and post-show wrap activities
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in theatre, arts administration, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered
- 2-4 years of experience in theatre production, stage management, or operations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams
- Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with budgeting tools and production software is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and attention to detail
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as production calendars require
