GE Healthcare is seeking a results-driven Project Management Team Leader to guide a seasoned group of Project Managers responsible for delivering complex, business-critical initiatives in a fast-paced healthcare technology environment. This role combines strategic thinking, people leadership, and hands-on program management to ensure initiatives align with the company’s objectives and patient care commitments.
As the PMI Team Leader, you will set the vision for program execution, establish governance, and promote best practices in project delivery. You will partner with executives, clinical and IT stakeholders, and external vendors to translate strategic goals into executable plans, manage risks and budgets, and monitor performance with transparent reporting. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, coaching staff to grow their skills and deliver sustained value.
You will champion compliance with healthcare quality standards and data privacy considerations, ensuring projects meet regulatory requirements while maintaining high levels of quality and security. This role requires exceptional communication, collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to influence decisions at the highest levels.
Responsibility
- Provide inspirational leadership to a team of experienced Project Managers, setting clear objectives and coaching high performance.
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery from initiation to closure, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-scope results.
- Develop and maintain program governance, PM standards, risk and issue management, and change control processes.
- Collaborate with executive sponsors, clients, clinical and IT stakeholders, and external vendors to align project outcomes with strategic goals.
- Manage budgets, resource planning, and vendor relationships; drive procurement for major initiatives.
- Monitor project metrics, produce executive-level reporting, and drive continuous improvement using data-driven insights.
- Ensure quality, compliance, and security considerations are integrated into all projects applying healthcare standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field; PMP/Prince2 or equivalent certification; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of project management experience with at least 3 years in people leadership; healthcare or regulated industries preferred.
- Deep understanding of PM methodologies (PMBOK, Agile) and governance frameworks; proven success delivering complex programs.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence at all levels.
- Proven track record delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget; strong risk management skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop remote/hybrid teams; excellent change management and adaptability.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory and quality standards, data privacy considerations, and vendor management.
