Join CivicEdge Public Sector as a Public Policy Analyst in Washington, DC. You will translate complex data and policy concepts into actionable recommendations that improve public services and community outcomes.
This role blends research, stakeholder engagement, and strategic analysis to support board-level decision making and program implementation.
Responsibility
- Conduct policy research, analysis, and forecasting to inform legislative and program decisions.
- Collaborate with city agencies, community organizations, and cross-functional teams to develop policy proposals and implementation plans.
- Assess policy impacts on budgets, equity, and service delivery; create dashboards and performance reports for senior leadership.
- Draft policy briefs, memos, and public-facing documents that communicate complex information clearly.
- Support program evaluation, performance measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage stakeholders through public meetings, consultations, and concise communications to gather input and build consensus.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of policy analysis, program evaluation, or government affairs experience.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in interpreting data and synthesizing findings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of public sector governance, budgeting, and regulatory processes.
- Proficiency with data visualization and office productivity tools (Excel, Power BI/Tableau is a plus, Word, PowerPoint).
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
