Responsibility
- Lead policy research and analysis to inform city-wide initiatives, including cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with departments, elected officials, and community groups to shape policy proposals and program design.
- Develop performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track program outcomes and budget adherence.
- Prepare briefing memos, policy papers, and presentations for senior leadership and city council.
- Support grant writing and funding opportunities to expand public services.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and public records requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by evaluating programs and recommending evidence-based changes.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field; or a bachelor’s with equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in public sector policy analysis, budgeting, or program evaluation.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and performance measurement.
- Experience with budgeting processes, financial modeling, and cost estimation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work with cross-functional teams, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and GIS is a plus.
