Lumina Communications, a premium PR and strategic communications agency, is seeking a results-driven Public Relations Manager to join our New York City team. You will lead multi-channel campaigns for technology, healthcare, and consumer brands, translating complex stories into compelling narratives that resonate with media and audiences.
As a core member of our client services group, you will partner with executives, product teams, and marketing to craft messaging, secure top-tier coverage, and protect brand reputation across markets.

Responsibility
- Lead the development and execution of integrated PR programs across earned media, digital, and events.
- Cultivate deep relationships with national and trade media outlets; secure proactive coverage and respond to inbound inquiries.
- Write, edit, and approve press materials including press releases, briefings, pitches, case studies, and speeches.
- Prepare and coach company spokespeople for interviews and media briefings.
- Monitor media coverage, analyze impact, and provide regular reporting to clients and leadership.
- Steer crisis communications and proactive issue management to protect brand reputation.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and executive teams to ensure consistent messaging and integration across campaigns.
- Oversee budgeting, timelines, and vendor relationships for events and campaigns.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of public relations experience, with a track record of earned media placement in tech, healthcare, or consumer sectors.
- Strong media relationships across national outlets and trade press.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing crisis communications and reputation risk.
- Proficiency with media monitoring, analytics tools, and PR platforms; familiarity with Cision, Meltwater, or similar.
- Ability to lead multiple campaigns, manage competing deadlines, and mentor junior staff.
