Responsibility
- Develop and execute proactive media relations programs to secure coverage across national and trade outlets.
- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, pitches, and bylined articles.
- Build and maintain targeted media lists; coordinate with editors and reporters.
- Pitch story ideas, secure interview opportunities, and coordinate press events (virtual or in-person).
- Monitor and report on media coverage; provide insights and optimization recommendations.
- Support crisis communications planning and rapid response activities as needed.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to align messaging with brand strategy.
- Manage multiple accounts with excellent time management and attention to detail.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated PR experience, preferably in agency or corporate setting.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with strong grammar.
- Proven media relations success and a robust network of editors and reporters.
- Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Proficiency with PR tools (Cision, Meltwater) and content management systems.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills; comfortable in client-facing environments.
- Team player with a proactive attitude and ability to work under tight deadlines.
