Job description

NovaForge Solutions is seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Engineer to join our product development team in Austin, Texas. This role focuses on delivering robust, scalable software through rigorous testing, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

As a QA Engineer, you will contribute to test strategy, write clear test cases and automation scripts, execute tests across web and API services, and help drive quality metrics that inform product decisions.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional who can champion quality and help us ship reliable software at scale.

Responsibility

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Write and maintain automated tests using Selenium or equivalent frameworks; integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Execute manual tests, perform regression testing, and document defects with clear reproduction steps.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and drive quality improvements across the product.
  • Ensure API endpoints are thoroughly tested (functional, interoperability, and security checks).
  • Monitor quality metrics and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA best practices and process improvements.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on Quality Assurance experience in software development.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design, and defect lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in test automation using Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or similar; experience with API testing (Postman, REST-assured).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and version control (Git).
  • Good SQL skills for data validation and backend testing; familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments; a proactive, self-motivated team player.
