Job description
Join Pinnacle Precision Manufacturing as a Quality Control Engineer. You will lead inspection and testing activities to ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role collaborates with production, engineering, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement.
As part of the quality team, you will establish and monitor quality metrics, oversee material and in-process inspections, and advocate for robust corrective actions when deviations occur. Your work will help safeguard product integrity and customer satisfaction throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
Responsibility
- Develop and execute quality control plans for incoming materials, in-process production, and final inspections.
- Perform statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis to identify trends and root causes.
- Lead CAPA investigations, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness.
- Create and maintain quality documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and inspection records.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure materials meet specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and process FMEA to mitigate risks.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce defects and waste.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, GMP, and customer-specific quality requirements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in quality control/quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of QC tools (SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis, 8D).
- Proficiency with measurement equipment (calipers, CMM, gages) and statistical software.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and GMP compliance; audit experience a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications; attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in data entry and quality metrics reporting; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
