Job description

Join a leading manufacturing company committed to quality and continuous improvement. We are seeking a results-driven Quality Control Specialist to join our Austin team and help ensure product excellence from incoming materials to final release.

In this role, you will partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and GMP standards, perform rigorous inspections, and drive data-driven quality improvements.

Responsibility

  • Perform in-process and final inspections using calibrated measurement tools to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Document and report nonconformities, lead root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Review and approve quality documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and inspection records.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing to establish robust quality control plans and sampling procedures.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) data to identify trends and drive process improvements.
  • Support internal audits and supplier quality assessments; participate in external audits as needed.
  • Train staff on quality procedures, equipment usage, and data recording standards.
  • Monitor calibration program and ensure inspection tools are within tolerance.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in quality control within manufacturing or electronics sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP, and quality management systems.
  • Experience with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM) and statistical methods (SPC, control charts).
  • Proficient in data entry and QA documentation; experience with MES/ERP (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; strong communication and teamwork.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings; basic understanding of metallurgy or materials is a plus.
  • Shift flexibility and willingness to occasionally work overtime to meet production targets.
