Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for web and API applications.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright; integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and UX to define acceptance criteria and measurable quality metrics.
- Perform manual exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
- Lead bug triage, reproduce defects, document issues clearly, and track resolution until closure.
- Drive test automation coverage for API, UI, performance, and security testing where applicable.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, contribute to QA process improvements, and champion a culture of quality.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in QA for software products, with emphasis on web applications.
- Strong automation experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks; proficient in JavaScript or Python.
- Proficiency in API testing using Postman, REST client, or similar tools; comfortable with JSON, RESTful services, and automated API tests.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git); familiarity with Jira or similar agile tools.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of performance testing and basic security testing; willingness to expand skill set as needed.
