NovaQuality Manufacturing is seeking a proactive Quality Control Engineer to join our state of the art facility in Chicago, IL. You will lead QC activities, ensure product conformity, and partner with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain to deliver top quality results. What you'll do: implement robust inspection plans, drive defect reduction, and sustain a culture of process excellence across the organization.
Responsibility
- Develop and execute QC inspection plans for incoming, in-process, and final products.
- Operate and calibrate inspection tools and document traceability across all lots.
- Monitor production lines using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis; identify deviations and implement swift corrective actions.
- Lead root cause investigations for quality defects and coordinate CAPA processes with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, GMP, and customer-specific quality requirements throughout all operations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, conduct supplier quality audits, and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate quality records, non-conformance logs, and quality metrics reporting.
- Support internal and external quality audits and participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on quality control/assurance experience in manufacturing or a similar sector.
- Strong working knowledge of QA tools, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with ISO 9001, GMP, and regulatory standards in manufacturing.
- Proficiency with measurement equipment such as CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and calibration processes.
- Data analysis and reporting skills; proficient with Excel and basic BI tools.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation practices; ability to work cross-functionally.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is a plus.
