NovaTech Precision, a premier manufacturer of high-tolerance components, seeks a meticulous Quality Control Engineer to join our Chicago team. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and QA to uphold uncompromising quality standards across all production lines.
In this role, you will monitor product quality, support process validation, and drive continual improvement by applying data-driven QA methods and robust inspection practices.

Responsibility
- Oversee inbound, in-process, and final inspections to ensure conformance to drawings and specifications.
- Develop, implement, and revise inspection procedures and work instructions.
- Lead non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions (8D, CAPA).
- Utilize SPC and data analysis to monitor process capability and drive quality improvements.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Suppliers to ensure quality across the supply chain.
- Maintain and audit quality documents, QA records, calibration logs, and compliant reports per ISO 9001 and GMP requirements.
- Train and mentor QC technicians, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of QC methodologies, inspection techniques, SPC, MSA, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with ISO 9001, GMP, and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM) and reading blueprints / GD&T.
- Excellent problem-solving, root-cause analysis (8D, Ishikawa), and CAPA skills.
- Effective communicator with strong documentation and teamwork abilities.
- ASQ certification (CQE, CQA) or equivalent is a plus.
