Join NovaTech Precision, a leading manufacturer of high-precision components, as a Quality Control Engineer in Austin, TX. This role blends hands-on QC with data-driven process improvement to safeguard product excellence from incoming materials to final shipments.
In this role, you will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, partnering with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure that our products meet the highest standards and customer expectations.
Responsibility
- Design and implement robust quality control procedures for incoming materials, in-line processes, and final testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Develop inspection plans, sampling strategies, and acceptance criteria aligned with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
- Collect, analyze quality data using SPC and root cause analysis to identify trends and drive CAPA actions.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues, implement process improvements, and reduce defect rates.
- Lead internal audits and support supplier quality programs to maintain a robust quality system.
- Validate calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment; ensure traceability and records are complete.
- Prepare concise quality reports for leadership and customers, and communicate corrective actions effectively.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, SPC, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical analysis tools.
- Hands-on experience with inspection planning, calibration, and measurement systems.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a track record of root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills; ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with data analytics tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar) and quality management systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
