NovaTech Precision is seeking a forward-thinking Quality Control Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Los Angeles. You will design and optimize quality control processes to ensure every component meets the highest standards of safety and performance. This is a hands-on role for a detail-driven professional who thrives on data, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
As part of our quality team, you will partner with engineering, operations, and suppliers to safeguard quality across the product lifecycle, from incoming materials to finished goods.
Responsibility
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans, inspection methods, and acceptance criteria for all products.
- Analyze quality data using SPC and other statistical tools to detect trends, deviations, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead root-cause analysis and 8D problem-solving for non-conforming parts and processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Validate incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods against SOPs and specifications.
- Create and maintain SOPs, control plans, work instructions, and quality records to ensure compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and cycle times, delivering measurable results.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on quality control or QA experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP, and 8D problem-solving methodology.
- Proficiency with statistical methods, SPC, MSA, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience using QA tools, ERP/MRP systems, and documentation management software.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
