Job description

Seilera Berkah Kulina is seeking a detail-oriented R&D Product Developer to drive the creation of new products from concept to market readiness. This full-time opportunity is based in Jakarta Barat, Jakarta Raya, Indonesia, and offers a competitive salary of IDR 5,000,000 – IDR 6,500,000 per month, commensurate with experience.

You will collaborate with culinary, production, and quality teams to translate consumer insights into robust formulations and scalable processes. You will design and test new recipes, manage formulation documentation, and ensure products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. From ideation and concept development to trial production and final product launch, you will play a key role in shaping Seilera Berkah Kulina's product portfolio.

Key activities include leading formulation development, performing pilot-scale trials, refining processes, and evaluating sensory attributes to optimize taste, texture, and stability. You will also monitor cost, shelf-life, and ingredient availability to align with business goals while maintaining high quality.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end product development from concept to commercial launch, aligning with customer needs and market trends.
  • Develop, test, and optimize formulations and recipes for new items, including ingredient sourcing and cost considerations.
  • Plan and execute pilot-scale production runs, scale-up processes, and coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transfer to production.
  • Conduct sensory evaluation, QA/QC checks, and safety assessments to meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, procurement, and quality assurance to deliver successful product launches.
  • Document specifications, formulas, and validation results to support GMP/ISO-compliant product records.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch, gather feedback, and iterate on formulations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in product development and formulation within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of lab testing, pilot-scale production, scale-up processes, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., HACCP, BPOM, GMP).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in documentation, Excel, and data-driven decision making.
