West Pharmaceutical Services Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Regional IT Manager to lead Site Support operations across Asia. This role owns the delivery and reliability of IT services for manufacturing sites, labs, and corporate functions, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with GMP and global standards. You will partner with site leadership, regional stakeholders, and external partners to design and execute IT strategies that accelerate manufacturing excellence, reduce risk, and enable data-driven decisions.
Your remit spans day-to-day operations, project delivery, and strategic architecture. You will manage a regional IT budget, vendor relationships, and service levels while driving continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and standardization. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions across multiple markets in Asia.
Key responsibilities include overseeing IT service delivery, infrastructure and security, governance and regulatory compliance, disaster recovery planning, and the implementation of ERP/MES and cloud initiatives. You will ensure robust change management, incident response, and business continuity programs while fostering a culture of reliability and security. Responsibility
- Lead and oversee Site Support services for Asia region including helpdesk, field IT support, and system administration to ensure 24/7 availability.
- Define and execute IT infrastructure strategy across manufacturing sites and regional offices, including networks, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud services.
- Manage regional IT budget, vendor relationships, contract negotiation, and procurement while ensuring cost-effective delivery and SLA adherence.
- Ensure IT security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance (GxP, GMP) with robust controls, audit readiness, and incident management.
- Oversee regional ERP/MES projects (e.g., SAP, Siemens Opcenter) from planning through deployment and stabilization, ensuring alignment with manufacturing processes.
- Lead Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning; conduct regular tests and refine recovery objectives.
- Mentor and develop the regional IT team; collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, and Operations to drive continuous improvement.
- Champion ITIL-aligned service management, track KPI/SLA performance, and report progress to executive stakeholders.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of IT leadership experience, with regional or multi-site responsibility, preferably in manufacturing or regulated industries.
- Démonstrated knowledge of GMP/GxP regulatory requirements, data privacy, and IT risk management.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Siemens Opcenter) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Strong project management, vendor management, and budgeting skills; formal certification such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP/CCSP is a plus.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills; ability to influence across cultures and geographies.
- Proven ability to design and implement secure, scalable IT architectures in a manufacturing context; strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
