The Regional Tax Officer / Assistant Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Malaysia SST, corporate tax, and transfer pricing policies, while supporting tax planning and reporting for the regional operations. You will work closely with finance, legal, and business units to drive accurate tax results and risk management. Responsibility

  • Drive tax planning initiatives to optimize cash flow and tax efficiency while maintaining governance standards.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Business Units to embed tax considerations in budgeting and strategic decisions.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (CPA/ACCA) preferred.
  • 3-7 years of relevant tax experience, with corporate tax and regional exposure in Southeast Asia highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysia tax laws, SST, transfer pricing rules, and tax incentives.
  • Experience handling tax audits and interacting with tax authorities; ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Malay; proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
